I’ve been to a lot of festivals with my movies. Often there’s artists’ meet ups or lounges, and “gore obsessed female horror director” is a classic archetype. They’re always really friendly!

There’s a quiet girl at my job who writes YA novels with tons of detailed violence and gore. I suspect she has an AO3 page with truly deranged shit on it but sadly I have no idea what her pen name would be. I’ve never told her I’ve read her books and she never talks about them (she doesn’t talk much in general), and I wonder if I’m the only person in the office who knows about her writing.
