Brosnan is the only Bond I wouldn’t mind seeing come back for one last film. He is still Bond enough to pull it off. There are currently no modern actors who could pull off being Bond.

Brosnan and Connery would be fighting for second/third. People either love or hate Moore but I think he nailed the type of Bond he went for, and his movies are all of my favorites in the series. Brosnan was a great Bond, and Goldeneye was a solid entry. He was then handed worse and worse films. He deserves one good last Bond.

Craig fails largely in presence for me. He is a blonde, broody guy, not a dark suave guy. He never felt like a Bond. Brosnan and Connery fit the character perfectly.

You have to have “the look.” A lot of the best bond scenes he’s just standing or sitting there being all cool. This brings us to why he’s cool even when he’s doing nothing: you pick an actor with gravitas. The guy who can say anything, or nothing, and you’re focussed on him the whole time. He has “it.” What is it? You know it when you see it. Lot of people on /tv/ hate Craig, but he did in fact, have “it.” Certainly not to the extend of, say, Sean Connery, but he had it.

So when someone suggests Henry Cavill I can only scoff. He has anti-gravitas—consider some of his line deliveries as Superman. They just make you want to giggle.

I think Craig is by far the worst Bond, sans Lazenby, but you are right. Especially in his first two movies. He was cool and had a presence. I still maintain him in Quantum is the coolest a Bond actor has ever looked and moved. He was a fucking beast, throwing himself around buildings and killing people with two or three moves.
