Just saw it on IMAX.
Pure blockbuster fun.

Longass film (156 minutes). Plot was solid, but every scene worked in my opinion.

Maybe it can win some sound editing oscars.

Several real drivers and team managers, but very little scripted acting by them. Seems like the driver post-race celebrations were almost entirely real.

I was blown away by how perfectly the racing scenes were filmed.

I don't know about hardcore but I do like F1 a lot, and this movie was good. Sure some stuff is silly but it's a movie not a documentary.

saw this in the trailer and knew I wouldn't bother paying money to see F1

However the new Top Gun movie didn't make the young main character a diversity hire.
There was one female pilot but the two main young pilots were miles teller and glenn whatshisname, both white.
