The non stop barrage of period stuff just fills me with so much joy

Have you read his book adaptation of it? Its even more just Tarantino jerking off about hollywood and I fucking love it

Criminally underrated in Tarantino's filmography. I'd put it 2nd after Pulp Fiction honestly. Then maybe Jackie Brown, then Reservoir Dogs

I read it. I enjoyed it. I wish Cliff had been developed more in the movie like he was in the book.

It would be better if they removed all of the Sharon Tate scenes and you only see her at the start when they drive past their front gate and then hear her voice on the intercom at the end.

Yeah, despite it being called a novelization, it's more like a book full of supplemental material, which I was very happy with since I highly enjoy the characters of Rick and Cliff.
The only thing I was a little down on was the confirmation that Cliff speared his wife. I liked the ambiguity of whether or not it was just a bullshit movie set rumor. The actual scene depicted in the book is still good, though.

Just another lame fairy tale movie from tarantula.

I want a movie about what actually happened with the Manson family and how Manson was a CIA mkultra project.

100% serious, all the music, the sights, I don't have the same nostalgia that Tarantino does but experiencing the joy he obviouslyh as for that era just feels good , idk how to explain it otherwise

plus rick and cliff are great

Needs a re-edit to remove the voiceover narration and work in the Family Guy cutaways more naturally.
Nice to see Leo actually trying for once even if it was only for one scene.

To each their own. I didn't care for the aimlessness and lack of plot. Basically just felt like a Tarantino period piece.

I havent read the book but doesnt it go into quite detail that Cliff has killed several men with his bare hands?

I do not have much hope or the Fincher movie. Would rather read the tarantino screenplay

this. i'd go so far as to say its one of his few good movies and this is clearly his best. it makes me sad realizing he wasted his whole career on schlocky genre bait and white guilt movies rather than actual pieces of art like this and jackie brown

Licorice Pizza has a very similar feel to OUATIH but don't expect a 10/10. Very good not quite great film

1. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
2. Jackie Brown
3. Django Unchained

Robbie is the most inspired performance. She was perfect as the overly idealized Tate that lets QT dream of an LA that never was & he wants to live inside forever. A beautiful mausoleum, in side which LA has more varied textures and different, inhabitable spaces than say Under the silver lake.
