Why don't twins bitch about singular people playing twins? Non midgets can't play midgets, so help me God no race can play any other race or even voice act any other race, you can't play a trans or non-binary character if you're not, although every now and then a woman can still play a man. The most interesting part of the film was the main vampire guy and he has barely any screen time. The vampires as a whole take a back seat to the real point of the movie, which I think is about black culture and heritage? It was a little boring and slow at times, lots of talk about eating pussy which felt like the director inserting his fetish into the film. And I couldn’t buy Michael B Jordan as twins, sometimes I got them confused, I like him as an actor but having the same actor play twins is a dumb gimmick, maybe in a comedy it’s fine but not in a drama. Also the movie wasn’t even remotely scary or creepy or anything that resembles horror. To call this movie a horror is disingenuous. It feels like they only called it a horror so they could claim the titles like “highest grossing original horror movie not based on an existing IP”. I watched this once and I’ll never watch it again. I enjoyed it overall but it’s the most overrated movie I’ve seen in a long time

It would have been better to not have the flashes of vampires at the beginning so you get more of a dusk till dawn feel to the movie. Also the solo Chinese people with a southern accent was out of place, then that shoot out with the klan members at the end was pointless to the story. The movie was okay though, there are just a few things that could have made it much better, it gets so much praise though because there have just been so many dogshit movies that whenever a decent one comes out people think it's the best movie ever.
