Curtis has a knack for film making, but if this "documentary" really changed your worldview you shouldn't be allowed to vote. He starts with some basic truths and then fills the rest of the screen time with conjecture and dramatic flair.

People act like this doc is incomprehensible but the overall point is pretty simple.

Basically, he's saying that political/cultural elites in the West have been lying to their populations for so long that they've started to believe their own bullshit and have lost touch with reality. That's why Brexit and Trump were so surprising to them. A lot of the anecdotes, like Gaddafi and UFO disclosure, are just examples of the kinds of bullshit that were being peddled. The lies were useful for a while, but now they're not.

He finds interesting material but he's too blackpilled and schizophrenic like the 9/11 in 90s movies montage. I watched his documentary "It felt like a kiss" about the dark back story of some 60s pop music. I honestly didn't know about Brian Wilson's psychosis that made him hear voices or that who Phil Spector was but Adam Curtis tries to say that all 60s pop music and the American Dream is a lie because some people who made very beautful music had mental problems.

Adam Curtis is a Gen X Labour-Leftist.
