Learn how to observe good direction and good editing. See what makes a scene visually interesting. Observe blocking and staging and camera movement.

I used to be. I just like how Brian and Roman make a great duo.

Well it's subjective as I said. But you should pay attention to >>212057961 too. It could elevate the enjoyment or appreciation of other films.

You will know when you see it. If you can't pick one you simply haven't watched it yet.

my benchmark for that answer is just whatever I happily watch the most without getting bored. so it's Jason and the Argonauts. not necessarily my favourite movie of all time but I can watch it any day of the week and enjoy it. other simple stuff like Hot Tub Time Machine as well. I've probably seen that about 100 times and it still makes me laugh.

Brown Hair Vegeta was kino. I'm guessing this was before it was decided that all Saiyans have black hair in their base forms.

you shouldn't have a 'favorite movie.'
Anyone that's really into movies has seen enough of them to have caveats, like
>favorite action movie
>movie I need to watch again
>perfect but had one flaw
>I liked it as a sequel
etc. If someone has a singular favorite, it's usually a sign they haven't seen too many movies in the first place

Not that any of it matters. Once you turn 27 no one cares what you like.

You're both right, OP shouldn't limit himself by having a 'favourite movie'. That's not how art should be treated.

Pick a movie.
Compare it with another movie and determine which one you like more.
Select another movie and compare the winner of the last comparison with it.
Repeat the process with every movie in existence.
Done. The winner is your favorite movie.

recognize that movies form a partially ordered set, and that not all movies are comparable, and that while some movies may be better than others, there may not be a best movie.
