My take is that yes, it was good, but people see it as a copycat of other apocalyptic shows when it's actually an older story that predates them. They waited too long to make it.

It will never shake this stigma of trying to ride the coat-tails of TWD and TLOU.

Decent if you like end of days/apocalyptic films. It's nothing special though.

Yes, season 2 will be more about the battle of the Eternaut vs. "Them" (the aliens managing the whole invasion) and more about the battle between subverted Humans vs. Real Humans as well.

The author made two comics, the original one which is as described above, and a second more insane one that is more political and has time travel shit. The adaptation decided to focus on the first comic and ignore the sequel comic which IMHO is a good decision.

It was kino until the Asylum-tier bugs show up. It goes back to high kino for the church scene when the bum and the old bitch sacrifice themselves and then it becomes absolute trash in the last episode. Some of the acting was atrocious, especially the daughter.

The director has a fetish for hiring ugly people and inexperienced actors. Except for Darin (protagonist) and his ex wife (Carla Peterson) pretty much every other actor is a literally who.

btw the director Stagnaro also did this in Okupas, which led to some actors breaking through and was great, but sometimes it doesn't work out I agree with you on Darin's daughter she was bland

Yeah, I saw Okupas after this and the Chiqui actor seems actually retarded, no wonder he's never had any other roles
