The Clone Wars reboot is when Lucas truly sold out, he just gave the reins to Filoni to do whatever he wanted because he had checked out and just wanted the money to keep flowing in.

I don't care about that. I'm just saying Lucas changed his mind and was always willing to introduce retcons if it was expedient no matter how little sense they made. The Chosen One prophecy is a big example, but then so is Leia being Luke's sister. There's a difference between Lucas being unengaged and Lucas not doing the things we would have liked.
