You had to be alive in the nineties.

The tv show it's based off of is pretty good. Modern audiences will find the pacing a bit slow at times but it also makes it a good time capsule into the era in which it was made.
The 90s movie was ok and didn't do anything to offend the source material. Too bad it didn't do well at the box office so the planned franchise never came to be. There's been some later attempts to resurrect it but they've been marginal at best.

Think that was the first movie I saw with Rachael Weisz in it. She needed me in it to warm her up.
The energy plot in the two movies is kind of odd given that during that time period, there's weren't really any major energy shocks.

Hitchcock was interested in directing the first Saint film, 1938's The Saint in New York. After a slow start, it has the kind of picaresque plot the director was using in the '30s. The Saint infiltrates and takes down a series of criminal gangs. A mystery woman helps him now and then. Obvious twist at the end. Quirky performance by the star.

Orbital's rendition of the main theme was every bit as good as Clayton & Mullen's remix of Mission: Impossible in 1996. The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Daft Punk (who no one had ever heard of), Dreadzone, Fluke, Moby, and possibly the finest song of the decade, Sneaker Pimps 6 Underground. I swear everytime I hear this song I feel like I just had sex.
