I'm sorry but you're just wrong. I'll give another example of his knowledge when it comes to renewable energy and climate tech. Go look at episodes 1671 and 2021 with Steve Keen. Rogan discussed the feasibility of fusion energy, referencing projects like ITER and the challenges of plasma containment. He even cites specific metrics, like the energy return on investment for solar versus fossil fuels, and discussed the role of lithium-ion batteries in grid storage. Most people don't know that shit. He's clearly well read and has an understanding of different things even if he's sometimes wrong about other things...like most people are.

The interesting part about JRE, at least for the brief period I listened until I reached the recent years, is that he’s a very curious and open-minded person. It’s not that he’s highly intelligent or knows all the answers. He’s just some guy with broad interests and the ability to get people talking. Obviously he’s above-average intelligence though but that’s not saying much. But he’s been exposed to so much more information, experiences and people that he has absorbed quite a bit and would be able to riff about topics the average person would not know much about.

Too bad he became a Trump mouthpiece and the money and hype got to his head, I really enjoyed the earlier stuff.
