I do respect the fact that, with art, and conjuring is a form of performance art, there is no authority on what art is, and what should be accepted. But I do think people are allowed to make their own common sense judgments on what is a legitimate expression of the art form and what isn't.
I'm not impressed by or interested in a magic trick that consists of actors, TV special effects and bold-faced lying. Any nigger can do that, I could do it, and in my opinion that is not real illusionism. I'm more entertained by an illusion I can't perform, because I lack the knowledge, skill, charisma and ingenuity to pull it off. People are entitled to their opinion that because magic is based on deception, that somehow makes Piss Angel and his ilk as valid as any other magician. But I do not agree. The best magicians can perform spectacular illusions without ever lying to their audience.
