When you think about it, Harrison Ford was a literal cuckold in this scene. He just had to sit there, and watch Ruger Hauer act as Ford could never act. He just had to sit there, and take it, and watch with this expression on his face.

I get a similar vibe from Tim Roth in the restaurant scene at the end of Pulp Fiction. He just sits there completely in awe of Sam Jackson's performance.

When you think about it, this is a pretty common experience for leading actors.

In the vast majority of movies, the antagonist is a way more interesting than the protagonist, and gets to say and do all the cool stuff, while the protagonist just sorta reacts to the antagonist in a generic way.

Harrison Ford may have not been the most invested actor with every role but Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade, Frantic and Presumed Innocent show he does have a pretty wide range and can act. Don't know why you think he sucks unless you haven't seen much of his filmography

Yeah, Harrison Ford was a pretty good actor when he tried. Blade Runner is actually a very good example. But there's a difference between "very good actor" and "Rutger Hauer as Roy Batty".
