there is no trilogy, prometheus was originally meant to be an engineer movie as proven by the deleted scenes, they changed it to a david movie.
alien covenant is the sequel to the david movie, that cements the retcon and changes, else it would have been called prometheus 2, what is prometheus should have been called another alien movie. if you make a sequel to covenant it would have to be yet another copypaste alien xenomorph movie with no engineers.
