Binged the Matrix trilogy in one sitting. When experienced as the first, second, and third acts of a larger narrative, the sequels manage to redeem themselves. They just don't really work well as standalones, which hurts their reputation through typical viewing conditions.
**Also, Asmongold is in the third one.**
>>212116701 (OP)That last line was supposed to be spoiler'd. Not sure what I screwed up.

>>212116701 (OP)The first is untouchable , the rest am not really
yeah it's one of the best trilogies ever
the first is still the best tho
I genuinely think Lana is probably the best director alive, literally everything she's made is kino.
Sometime I want to find one of these fan edits that cut all the Zion bullshit and make 2 &3 into one 2 hour movie.
Might be cool. I also want to rewatch Resurrections which I liked a lot because I am gay.

fourth movie is good too, aside from the shitty shaky cam
>>212119167>I also want to rewatch ResurrectionsI respect the fuck out of Resurrections for being a middle finger to WB's refusal to lose the Matrix trademark.
I always saw the whackiness and goofiness of the sequel as the Matrix slowly loosing control.
The Crew destabalized the System with their precence alone and Actions so much, that it literally turned into a BDSM Circus.
With that mindset, I even like them
>>212119429Hell, they end with a Dragon Ball Z fight. Doesn't get much goofier than that.
I dug them a lot more after rewatching the trilogy a few years ago. As an action franchise, there's nothing else like it.
Yeah the trilogy Is great, Neo and Smith end up being unchained software
