I'm gonna be honest the premise is silly. MCU fans are making it out like people are criticizing the character for being amoral, but the problem is she's a genius that basically just sells homework to get by instead of like, selling an invention, starting a company, fuck even crypto scamming or wherever. Instead she's selling homework to rich kids and basically doesn't go to school other than to rob the lab while on scholarship.

A genius would be more resourceful, especially one connected to Wakanda. The premise is dumb. It's fine for her to want to take the easy path as a moral conflict that hurts those around her or whatever, that's a tale as old as time and was the same for Tony and his rockets. But it's hard to believe a genius is genuinely this stupid. She could ask her Wakandan AI for some stock picks and yeet herself to wealth in a few days.

Hell just contracting here or there for uncontroversial companies would be easy with her credentials. It doesn't have to be her selling out and hating a corporate job. The whole thing is just contrived to frame her struggle as wealth because that's a resonant modern theme despite most people watching the show having very little struggle in their lives in any real way.
