I watched this for the first time earlier in the year. I really love shows that elicit emotion in me aside from it just being a highly entertaining adventure series, you could really feel John's inner struggles which makes everything that goes on around him that much more compelling. Of course, the supporting cast and characters are fantastic as well as the effects. Also, Claudia Black might be getting naked in the new Spartacus so I'll be tuning in for that.

I don't know how long Nebari live, so I don't know the correlation between her race and human race age of consent or development. She could be ten cycles, or thirty cycles old. D'argo is supposed to be thirty cycles old, yet he has a teenage son.
The only time Chianna jumped John's bones was when he was sixteen or so, and I never caught Aeryn or Stark or Zhaan's age.

In Peacekeeper Wars, Chianna does say that she is still a narl, a kid, in her culture, and she knows nothing about delivering babies. And we know Peacekeepers can live about twice as long as regular humans. Aeryn could be seventy years old and look thirty. She lived on that one planet for fifty years, left, got John, and came back for another fifty years, before everything was altered. I think Pilot lives for around 300 cycles.
Teenagers are impulsive, selfish, leap before they look, and apparently Chianna was so bad as a teenager that Nebari retrieval squads were sent after her. There was no shortage of clues to point out that Chianna was a particularly bratty and difficult young Nebari. Face it, without Chianna, or any of the characters, the show would not be the same.
