I just watched Legend 1985 with my e-gf and he loved it. I prefer the US Theatrical release soundtrack and ending but the Director's cut pacing and extra scenes and by the way she agrees with me. Thought?

I own the criterion blu ray with both versions and I really love it based on the production values alone. The story and acting from Tom and the girl is pretty weak, but the sets and character design more than makes up for it. It’s an insanely beautiful movie and it’s a one of a kind. There’s nothing else quite like it. The devil is obviously absolutely insane to watch. The whole movie could’ve been centred around him.
