Yes, because they specifically hit a small exhaust port about two meters wide, rather than just hitting the front door.
It's also why they very explicitly had the first shot open a hole, and the second shot go into the hole to blow up the equipment and stockpile.
They ALSO didn't have the commander telling the whole world their plan weeks in advance, so it's more likely the bad guys were taken unaware.
