Werewolf is one of the most famous and beloved episodes of MST3K and yet it is completely impossible to find an original cut of the movie. What's up with that?
>>212145168 Where at? I can find a bunch of werewolf movies, but not that one. There even seems to be a discrepancy whether the film was released in 1995, 96, or 97, and I've checked multiple years. 97 also saw the release of "An American Werewolf in Paris". I find it bizarre that Jackett returns nothing at all (or rather, not the right movie).
>>212145392 Thanks friend. Turns out wikipedia had the director's name spelled two different ways on the same page.

Well shit, the sex scene is cut from this version https://archive.org/details/werewolf-1995-laser-disc >>212145917 and this one too what's wrong with people
>>212144938 (OP) I didn’t get Paul’s living arrangements >inherits a house ?(or is it an apartment building) >just lives in the attic >weird groundskeeper just hangs around the house all day …possibly lives there Would make sense if it was an apartment building but we never see any tenets
>>212144938 (OP) The original cut sucks anyways I promise. It's horrible quality and very little is taken out anyways. You're not missing out I promise.

>>212145270 >great nudes scene No that did not happen. There was a shitty one.
>>212147519 I guess they filmed part of the film and then ran out of money Then like a year later they finished it up. It’s why the main bad guy has different hair in every scene I’ve watched devil fish a bunch of times but I still don’t know what is actually going on. And I still can’t find the name of the song the black girl assistant was listening to (mike called it shonen knife )
>>212147853 Shonen Knife was a jpop girl band that gained some popularity in the west before the big anime/japanophile boom became mainstream, but I don't think the song in the movie is actually them.

>>212147790 It's not. If they even used a vhs copy. It may have been tape but I don't think it was vhs.
>>212149762 It looks like a duplex or something -- not sure if a house of this size warrants a full-time live-in groundskeeper. The real estate agent tells Paul that after his mother died, they (the estate?) tried to sell the house but couldn't because of the poor economy and the "restorations" which were done to the house (?) so now it's Paul's problem and for some reason he decides to keep the house for himself and live only in the attic.
>tfw you own the original VHS release with the lenticular cover

>>212150036 I could see this being a two family or a condo (depending how far back it goes). So then the groundskeeper is more like a superintendent who lives in an apartment in the building Then it would explain why he’s always there even in the middle of the night
