>like the walking dead most of it is just them running around in the woods

Disagree. It added to the world building and allowed them to explain the doctor character's skull shtick.

There were a lot of infected scenes that balanced well with the film's runtime.

I'm just out of the kinotech, it's clear they have different endings in different screenings. I just saw the Philip Schofield and Gordon the Gopher ending. Absolutely chilling to see the Philips fighting with hand puppets.
