With AAA animators like Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks shitting the bed, I was wondering if it's time for indie animators will finally fill the hole the big companies left because fuck it. The most popular ones I've seen so far is the shit from vivziepop and lately the stuff made by glitch plus there are other decent animation pilots on youtube.

My jewtube friend simulator Jobbythehong recently was shilling this show, I tried watching the first episode but couldn't get into it, the animation is not terrible but the character designs, voices and story are so random and unappealing to me. I don't get how it became such a hit, it's so whatever.

Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, etc.) used to have SOVL. These shows are not really indie, they're funded and shilled by the Australian government through a body called "Screen Australia" and they already had deals with toy-making companies before even posting these pilots.
Also these shows are absolute garbage, they might have nice animation quality but they're clearly aimed at autistic teenage girls who watch "safe edgy" shit, like the modern version of goth mall chicks

Dreamworks still has some soul. Pussy boots 2 was a good movie and did great even after being bashed due to changes on the animation style and wild robots was also good.
Unfortunately they do stupid shit nobody asked for like Shrek 5, which might be shit not because of the change of style but at this point, the story with shrek was done already and Kung fu panda 4 was kinda mediocre.
