It was shit. Almost unbelievable that the people who made the iconic 28 Days Later made this piece of shit. What the fuck happened? So much went wrong so fast it makes my head spin. The opening scene was the only good part of the movie.

The story makes no sense, it has video game zombie types, the ending was a farce, half the movie is staring at alpha zombie cock, the majority of the movie is in the countryside walking around going a whole lot of nowhere, a random dude covered in iodine builds a tower of skulls, a rage infected woman gives birth holding hands having a touching moment, the end is "the ragers dindu nuffin they gud bois, etc. The tone and entire feel of the first movie is gone. It feels like a completely different series and type of movie. The first was brilliant, the second was a bit less so, but still solid. I just don't get what the hell they were trying to do here. None of it was very good. Why make a 28 Days Later alleged sequel with none of the things that made those movies great?

In a brutal wasteland where it's established you need to keep your wits about you to survive, the characters make stupid, careless decision after stupid, careless decision, and always come out unscathed. The movie generally tries to justify this plot armor by having the characters be nice.

The zombie cock has more screentime than the dad does. Sure it isn't literally half the movie. But a sizable portion of it does. And honestly that's one of the few memorable things about this shit. After the opening I'm just sitting there bored to fucking tears waiting for something to happen. Zombie cock flopping and swinging around is one of the few parts that stand out. At least something was happening. I've never felt so bored by a 28 movie.

The only clear shot of the zombie cock is on the train after the birth which lasts for all of 2 minutes at most, far less time than the father has on screen unless you're being disingenuous and referring to the priest.

I knew from the overacting priest onwards that this was going to be trash and it just kept getting worse.

The joke was on us. It'll be great they said. Oh it'll be just like other two they said. Then they turn around and FUCK you right in the ass with a giant zombie cock, a shamefully bad Jimmy Saville ending that was unintentionally comedic, and a boring story of wandering around the British countryside helping an infected woman (who stops raging to fucking hold hands and share a moment with the mother) give birth, and complete with sequel bait. They knew this clunker was gonna piss people off. That's why they saved Cillian for the sequel. Just as a giant fuck you to the fans. Oh you wanna see a good actor? Too bad. Some stupid ass spanish kids behind my seat wouldn't shut the fuck up half the time (clearly too young for this in the first place) and it made parsing the thick accents even harder

I was told all Asians look the same, but after watching 3 season of Squid Game and I can safely say their actors are blowing us the hell out in the charisma department. They get Thanos and Gi-Hun, we get Timothée Chalamet and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
