i can't imagine how much more wild everything was back then, so much got wiped out either by us our invasive species/disease.

i believe the footage to be real 100% based on the fact that even if it was a costume the proportions and gate are not replicable, not to mention how the fur looks etc. nothing has been made and show to look nearly as good as that footage way back.

i think it was possibly an interdimensional experience where for maybe a dozen seconds the bigfoot stepped through a rip in dimensions and entered our world only to slip back into his space momentarily. not intentionally just all by randomness of the universe

I used to be a big cryptohead and I believed the Patteron-Gimlim footage. I thought that despite some parts looking very fake and silly (the soles are clearly flat pieces of rubber) I had never seen anyone replicate the gait in the filme perfectly.
Eventually I found out that Patterson was very interested in female Bigfooot encounters. Now, you may be thinking "if Bigfoot is a real animal then it is normal to expect that around 50% of the population could be female".
Sure, it is true that if it is a real animal there would be females, however in 1966 there were virtually NO accounts of female Bigfoot encounters. Either because Bigfoot obviously doesn't exist and when people are seeing things or making up stories they'll default to a wild animal being a male, or because female Bigfoot show no physical dystinction that were notable enough for the witnesses.
I could only find TWO encounters where the Bigfoot were distinctively female.

Coincidentally these two encounters where featured in Roger Pattinson's book "Do Abominable Snowmen of America Exist?"
Even more curiously, one of these cases had a drawn description, however it was not draw by the witness but rather his daughter.
This drawing was the very first depiction I could ever find of a Bigfoot with breasts. In this drawing the breasts were fully covered in hair, but aftr looking for his father's descriptions I realized he never said they were fully haired breasts. It appears his daughter assumed that and took creative liberty.
This is relevant because there are no ape species in history that ever had females with fully covered breats.
It's also relevant because another (much better) artist made an illustration of this encounter, using the daughter's drawing as reference. This illustration was traced by Roger Patterson in his book and it looks remarkably similar to his footage.

Yes, it is possible. Just consider the odds that the mythical ellusive creature that exists out there looks identically to the depiction that a young woman drew not actually based on the description but just her lack of knowledge of primate biology and her lack of skill. And the odds that said creature that coincidentally looks like an obscure old drawing was filmed exactly by one of the very few people that was aware of that drawing and featured it in his book an year prior.

The way the thing walks and the foot and leg angles are what finally sold me. People don't make those kind of angles when they walk, and peoples arms are shorter than their legs, but that's not the case with the PGF.
