Yeah it sucks. They were lucky enough to pull off a movie for the first one, doing it twice was a poor decision and a failure of a movie.

It was okay. Del Preston the insane veteran roadie was funny, but still not funnier than Ed O’Neill’s donut store manager.
I think the original is still funny to this day.

Its because Meyers got the director of the first movie removed. She did a great fucking job and I doubt the movie would have worked if it wasn't for her doing the documentary style "talk to the camera" stuff.

Village People scene was funny. Naked Injun was dumb. Jurassic Park gag was good and probably the "last blast" of Wayne in the zeitgeist.

Paramount King's Dominion had a Wayne's World 2 land with Stan Mikita's donuts and a coaster based on the doll factory called "The Hurler".

Low bar. Ladies Man and Superstar were bad but there was a "It's Pat" movie and Al Franken's character.
Coneheads was good at the time, and is nearing a point in culture where it's good again.
BB was obviously a classic.

I fucking love MacGruber.

But, Wayne's World isn't even an SNL movie, it's a classic on par with Pee-Wee's Big Adventure as a hallmark comedy. Unironically I'd put Billy Madison there too but no other Sandler and none of those shitty 80s comedies like Rodney Dangerfield slop or even Caddyshack.

I want Will Ferrill to do a Harry Carey movie but it's in Japan and he comments on Japanese baseball and the gag is that the Japanese don't realize he's dead and his living descendants have to convince him to movie on. So Japanese baseball is the backdrop.

Wayne’s World
Blues Brothers
It’s Pat

That’s it, rest are shit. Also, the reason why this movie is bad:

Myers' original script for Wayne's World 2 had Wayne and Garth forming their own country and seceding from the US after finding an ancient scroll, in a story taken from the 1949 British comedy Passport to Pimlico. This version was well into pre-production before it came to light that the studio had no idea the script was based on a previous film and thus had not obtained the rights to Passport to Pimlico. Production was immediately halted—director Surjik said: "I could hear the chainsaws literally chopping the sets down."[15] Studio executive Sherry Lansing was reportedly furious with Myers and threatened to ruin his life and career if he did not immediately produce a new script.

Compare the Hair Metal era with Grunge.
Hair Metal had White men and women dressing ridiculous and constantly getting laid whole drunk and on coke.
Grunge was Kurt Cobain respecting women before committing suicide.
