I both accept "infected" as being distinct from classic romero-shambler "zombies" and accept the term "zombie" as a colloquial term for any sort of entity in the genre (like "ghoul" or "zed" or "walker" or the billion other retarded one-off names). Infected are zombies. Infected aren't dead or reanimated corpses, they're alive and ill people. They're still fucking zombies.
