Right now we have a limey portraying Spider-Man, who's probably more important to the American canon than Churchill is to the British canon.
Most of the current population of Britain probably doesn't even know who Churchill is, considering that a large portion of them lived in the Middle East their whole lives until 5 or less years ago.
