Well, where does the franchise go from here? There's no setup for a sequel. Is it over?

Also, they should've made it more fantastical, like the idea of a Maya civilization having contact with dinosaurs, and that they didn't all go extinct. Instead, they could have survived on an island, like in The Lost World by Conan Doyle—not as clones, but as actual dinosaurs.

Or, I don’t know, even the rumored Jurassic City film, with events taking place in a city or town, would have been cooler than another retread of what we've already seen. This feels like it was made just because the film rights were about to expire or something (I’m not sure if that’s a thing, but I think Universal owns the IP).

They should probably just stop. These movies are nothing like the original at all and just get more outlandish and cartoony. The whole appeal of the first movie is you almost felt like cloning dinosaurs could happen.
These new movies feel as plausible as an MCU film

diminishing returns after poor reception. don't want a Transformers situation. those movies were popping a billy before they tanked after TLK and never recovered. best to give a 5 year or so break and then plop out another sloppa for another billy because audiences miss their dinos.

This one won't make a billion. Dominion made a billion because it was kept 3 months in theaters (entire summer) and they did a rerelease during that time with additional footage.

This movie is a franchise killer, honestly worse than JP3 despite being in many ways a better film.

No sequel setup at all and it goes out of it's way to retcon cancel all development from the last few movies. We no longer have a new interesting setup for a "jurassic world"
all dinosaurs are dead, the world cant support them and they just live on a few islands again. So unless people want another 6 jurassic park movies with the same exact island setup there's no point. retarded.

we should have gotten chaos effect dinos instead of the mutants. it's easy, they couldve said some company took blood samples from wild dinos in order to make their own dinos for x purpose and they mixed dna of different species to create new dinos.

I watched it an hour ago — this movie sucks.

It's absolute garbage.

It's mostly just human drama, and none of it makes any damn sense! And the dinosaurs? They're barely in the movie. I think this film has the least dinosaur screen time of all the Jurassic movies. Also, the teenage leads — the girl and her potential boyfriend — never speak to each other once in the entire film, yet somehow we're supposed to believe they're a couple? That makes no sense at all.

What the hell is this crap? How did Koepp write this?

I hope it flops. I’ve never cared much about a movie wasting my time, since I don’t do much anyway, but this is the first one that truly felt like a waste.

So, Jurassic World: Rebirth? My take: 3/10.
