It was banter, you retard. Tolkien and Lewis were drinking buddies in Oxford.

He thought Santa Claus showing up was dumb too.
He and Lewis were very good friends but they did spend a lot of time trying to out autism each other.
I've heard that Tolkien based Treebeard on Lewis but that's not quite the loving tribute moms om Facebook seem to thing it is.
>I am on nobodies side, because nobodies on my side
Lewis was nominally Anglican, but in actuality embraced a more universalist version of Christianity; which probably annoyed the militant Catholic Tolkien
>Takes a long time to say anything
A fun little dig at a fellow lecturer, although contemporaries found Lewis to be a much more interesting speaker.
>Forgot what women look like
Lewis was a lifelong bachelor and only got married late in life.

That happened way before Tolkien, like 1,000 years.

Tolkien was just salty that his attempts to convert his friend resulted in him becoming a fedora-tipping Protestant

>a faun-that is, a satyr-
They're two different beings though?
A satyr would definitely be into rape
A faun would probably just avoid her

Tolkien and Lewis were possessed of a medieval mindset.
Plagiarism wasn't a thing pre copyright laws, so people would just re write the Aeneid over and over again.
