Men - directed by Alex Garland
>It's marketed as being about how men are evil monsters to ragebait people into discussing it and then it actually still is that to a degree but it's also got weird pagan symbolism to make you think it's deep and that the people who got angry are just stupid
Civil War - directed by Alex Garland
>Marketed as a speculation about America's future surrounding the hysterically overblown fears everyone has about Trump and racism, which it still is but it does it in a vague enough way for people to pretend it's anything but propaganda and call the people who got mad about it stupid
28 Years Later - Written by Alex Garland
>Marketed as a good movie but it's actually incomprehensible up-its-own-ass slop that not only fails to deliver on everything it promised, but paints the entirety of the UK as worshipping one of the most prolific child molesters in history, not understanding basic things about the rest of the world and being backward and paranoid about outsiders despite the outsiders wanting to kill them
Is there a name for this strategy? Why do people keep falling for it?

a lot of your post comes off hysterical. take a breath and calm down. Ive only seen 28 Years Later and your post is incorrect on everything down to a movie's last 30 seconds means it represents the entire movie. If you genuinely think this then unironically take your meds
