Politicians who only see value in how expensive art is, not in the art itself.
Tyler's "sin" is that he was sent the menu by the chief and then preemptively prepared himself to experience the menu in the most smug way possible just to seem smart to his idol. A pretentious midwit, who, if we were to draw a parallel, reads the plot of the movie before seeing it so that he can seem smart for predicting the events. Tyler is all that. But there is no way he would be willing to die for this if his autism and passion for cooking weren't genuine.
He is guilty of dissecting art but not being able to replicate it himself. Which, again, to draw a parallel to the art of the film, comes off as "you can't critique movies if you are not a director."
