That whole storyline was terrible. Half the shit the cop did wouldn't even be possible for him to do, and the other half was huge overreach that could have any lawyer salivating at the chance to sue.

Even if House refused to get a lawyer because House is House the hospital would have stepped in to stop the police from harnessing one of their employees.

i feel like they needed something for everyone to turn against House but it would've look unnatural and forced if everyone simply stood up to themselves so they came up with an outside force to push them on that choice and also to mask off House into going cold turkey
