I've only seen the TV series once and that was when I binged it 3 years ago with my family. I didn't hate Arya at first but she was constantly overshadowed by way more interesting and likeable characters she tagged along with like The Hound. She was a spectator to cool stuff rather than a participant in it. And then she went over to Essos which was intriguing at first but didn't really go anywhere for a long time. When she suddenly turned into a magic ninja it was just funny to me because I already checked out of her character arc several episodes prior. I liked her a bit better in the books but that's mainly because she has less... screentime?.. pagetime?... compared to the show.
