What is it about his dialogue that makes it so cringe?
And why do all his actors talk the same despite being different characters

The '90s and cinema in general benefitted hugely from his participation. He gave studios confidence to take risks and stop excessively relying on franchises. He can be an egotistical prick but he's extremely knowledgeable about cinema and a solid filmmaker in his own right.

>transforms edginess into comfyness
>surpasses homage and integrates his post-modern hyper-referential cinematic language into self-contained mastery
>literally quits

Tarantula reached his old age and realized almost all of his previous work was cringe, then felt the whole artform died just when he was getting good, becoming incredibly jaded in the process. Now that he has children and a loving wife, he has nothing to prove anymore, no chip on his shoulder "i'll prove them I'm worthy and Uma will love me" motivation. He's done.
