It dragged too long.
It could have been amazing if only it had been 2 or 3 seasons tops.

it got hijacked halfway through by the need to justify itself as a prequel to Breaking Buck. The whole cartel subplot has fuck all to do with Jimmy and gets Jimmy sidelined in his own show. Jimmy has zero agency in his own fall to Chuck. It's all Lalo whacking a dude in his apartment and Kim being a cunt.

Could have been 1 season.

>Hey, Saul you're a scoundrel.
>No I am not *proceeds to cheat and get people killed*
>Better call Saul! THE END

I like it till they decided to go artsy with the black-and-white scenes.

It ended up huffing its own farts with the whole black and white section.

Also correct.

Plus there's no reason why the Gus of BB would have left Kim alive as a loose string, considering how careful he was about everything else. Also it's dumb how the Salamancas magically decided not to seek revenge on Nacho's family after his confession. And no, Mike would not be able to protect him. But then they also put Hector in a nursing home in America instead of taking care of him in Mexico for no apparent reason.

it wasn't just that. saul realized he just couldn't help himself and needed to be behind bars and for the first time take accountability. he was a destructive person and if he had cleaned up his life earlier, he'd still be happily married to kim, who did love him. even as "saul" and haggling down to 7 years in jail, nothing would have changed when he got out. his true time machine moment was brilliant as it would have changed the course of everything to the straight and narrow.

The director showed his insecurity in that episode

>no one can have a good sex scene with my Rhe
>least of all Saul

Very unprofessional
