Shit's run its course. At least we got 2 good movies from it. Predator just had the one good movie and they're still trying to milk that franchise.

I consider the Resistance game to be the canon ending to the Terminator series.

Just do another horror spin on the franchise. I don't get why every movie after 2 has to be action, they've done that for 30 years now it's time to try another horror one.

Predator had two good movies though. Everything from Predator, Terminator and Aliens after the first two is just for teenager entertainment now. Terminator Resistance, Alien Isolation, Robocop Rogue City are all fantastic additions to the movies. Now we need a faithful Predator game where you're being hunted by a serious and deadly smart Predator that makes you as scared as Alien Isolation.

Because nobody goes to see them at the cinema. The highest grossing original film so far this year was Sinners, which made $364,536,257. 10 years ago it was Inside Out at $858,294,430. And to put that into further perspective, Pixar's original animated movie this year (Elio), has only made $72,056,358. Less than a tenth.

Sequels and remakes are the only thing keeping the film industry alive, and if you want that to change then go see the original films that they're bringing out. These were all great:

You canโ€™t do a future war film without a budget of like 250 million dollars. And if the budget is that high youโ€™re going to get studio interference nonstop (woke slop: John Conor being saved by a girl etc. ) literally the only way to bypass that would be to have James Cameron himself direct the film since he can shit talk producers. But James himself brings up its own issues. For me, you could just remake the first one with like a 20 million dollar budget. Lean into more horror than action. It could be kino.

Yes, you can. It would be super easy even. Just make it dark as fuck with eerie bright lights in the distant sky. Some mangled wreckage all around. Then minatures for hunter killer aircraft and tanks. A few dozen nobody resistance fighters running around with prop laser guns thay you have special effects for purple lasers coming out. Wouldn't expect it to be a giga-blockbuster though. There's no real story that would be interesting except what they already did in Terminator Resistance.

The campy but still intense vibe of these 80s and 90s action movies isn't really something you can recreate in 2025. These movies were a product of the culture that created them. That culture doesn't really exist anymore. Something that doesn't get brought up a lot is that a lot of the people who made these movies were Vietnam veterans. They had seen the shit they were depicting on screen. What exactly does a millienal onions boy know about depicting a jungle war? He's never been in one.

I was waiting for someone else to say it.

Good list:
Predator 1 & 2, and they should have continued to make them in an episodic format in different eras of history and places on Earth for a few more movies, or at least one anthology like the _Animatrix_.

Terminator 1 & 2. Terminator 1 was an excellent movie, and 2 established Judgement Day as a fixed event in human future history that we will eventually have to reconcile, as will be the case in real life. Terminator Salvation was the only good "sequel", even though it occurs somewhere in the timeline, and was what Terminator 3 & 4 should have been.

Aliens 1 & 2. The first to set up the second, the second to bring the action to a close and leave us with the open ending the franchise deserved. Prometheus was good, and chilling.

Garbage:
Any Predators crossovers with Aliens.

Terminator 3 and the "female supersoldier and drug addict beats terminators to death with her fists" and the "quirky role reversal" episode with the grey goo human replacement terminators, whatever those movies were called.

Aliens 3 & 4 were dogshit phone-it-in plots designed to rape the box office, but they're utter shit with the latest bigger bad as the primary protagonist. Romulus is teens-in-space, and therefore dogshit garbage.

The best way for Terminator to be good is to explore how you may think shapeshifting liquid metal robot pussy is good, but it really isn't, it'll just drip and get stuck inside your urethra and it'll feel like passing a kidney stone. Instead you should go with a T900 model which is living tissue over hyperalloy combat chassis. The Terminator synthetic living tissue is both fast regenerative, perfectly mimics human physiology and is made of organic matter. But its established the blood isn't real blood, no red blood cells, so they cut corners when it's not feasible or necessary. So the terminator vagina has to look like the real thing, have fake fluids to simulate real ones, and even grow back if it is destroyed.

That's kinda crazy when you think about it, that mean between the interior labia are things like the hymen, a fake urinal tract, and even a fake nub of flesh called the clitoris. But no smegma? And she doesn't have a period either. Meaning it's always clean, but looks exactly like the way a real tight little pussy should, with little goosebumps on the exterior labia and it is even contracted by the cybernetic muscle mechanisms. And if the clitoris is rubbed the cyborg must be aware and has sensors to enable a simulated response. There is even a butthole right behind the vagina, a butthole that leads absolutely nowhere.

That's crazy bros. It's like living tissue but it's on a hyper alloy chassis. And there's a vagina right between her legs. She has synthetic vagina with synthetic labia and synthetic hymen and synthetic clitoris and synthetic urinal tract AND a synthetic butthole. It's weird because there is a metal endoskeleton hyperalloy combat chassis inside, and you can even see it if you open the vagina. And if you accidentally rip it open, that's okay, it regenerates from all the pancakes she consumes. Fucking unreal.

They should have jumped into postapocalyptic after 2.

Not really. There was one story that could have been used to complete the trilogy if it had been made back in the 90ยดs but everyone is too old to make it happen now.

>INB4 make it with AI

A terminator movie? scripted, directed and starred by skynet itself? Are you mad?

I had an idea where there are multiple AIs (Skynet, MIR, Legion, Kokoro) in the future fighting each other and humanity but I doubt any new TM movie be done well these days.

not with crazy kikes writing the scripts
the problem with the sequels was that they were so badly written it was impossible to take anything seriously

Not as long as Hollywood's approach to old franchises is to continuously raise stakes. It needs to go back to basics and make more personal refined stories. They don't know how to keep it simple.

Keeping it simple doesn't rake in the money. The critics bad mouth it, other viewers say it's too much of the same, and it does poorly. Which sucks for regular fans who don't need it to get exponentially biggerer every time. We have to turn to games and comics instead to keep it simple
