I watched The Last Laugh. Absolutely positively certified kino. Except for the tacked on Hollywood feel good ending. Amazing how compelling a film can be without dialogue and with a very thin premise for drama.

I saw The Gold Rush once with a live audience. People seemed restless until the first big comedy scene, then they exploded with laughter and totally got into it. Gave it a standing ovation at the end.
