Breaking Bad was the first show to have character development

The Sopranos had them react to different events but in the end they are the same people meanwhile Breaking Bad has character development

Hence BB is better

Rewatching Breaking Bad as an adult its hard to overlook the cringey trying so hard to be cool watercooler moments they inserted every couple episodes.

Yeah i watched it when it came out, waiting each week for a new episode and then a long time between seasons. Rewatching recently ep after ep, it was only gripping because of cliffhangers, the story has too many 'why didn't he just do that' moments.

It's so boring. Compared to the Sopranos, barely anything happens on BB. A lot of it is just set up for the season finale, so you are just waiting for the next big thing to take place. Compare that with the Sopranos where every scene has something going on and even when it's being slow, it still has time to be funny and engaging. BB takes itself a bit too seriously after season 2 and just kind of meanders until the end. Nothing new is being said, it's just one ridiculous moment after another.

Binge watching Sopranos for the first time wasn't that great. As much as tv claims that Breaking Bad is reddit, it's just a better show with actual tension and development.

The Sopranos pretty much any scene has a ton going on just within the dialogue and meaning behind everything. I can watch any random scene and enjoy it.
