They’re very similar properties aren’t they? Superman basically created DC and the FF basically created Marvel. Both are kind of corny, old school superheroes, very colourful and clearly products of their time. And both properties get rebooted every decade or so with the hope that finally audiences will appreciate them. They know we only want Batman/Spider-Man but they keep insisting we should have something else. No, I don’t think I will.

Man I remember when fans just wanted movies to be good and you had to go digging to even see the box office.

Let me help you out with something. The MCU is the most successful film franchise of all time. DC has the only set of characters that has the same level of mindshare as the Marvel hero's even with less successful films in general. People still think of Superman before they remember Captain America.

These companies will keep making films until you die because they print money and have been printing money since before you were born. The numbers don't matter to you they matter to whatever suit is making the quarterly report.
