Since the Jurassic Park/World movies continue to makes tons of money, why don't we see more dinosaur movies?

Because JP kinda cornered the market. It's so well established that every dinosaur movie is going to be compared to it.

This. Studios seem terrified that Universal is going to sue them for "ripping off Jurassic Park" as though Universal has exclusive rights to the concept of dinosaurs.

You almost have to do what JP did. How else are you gonna get the dinosaurs there? You either need a very similar science brings them back concept or some kind of time travel shit. The latter leads to it being more cartoony or sword and sorcery and less grounded. But too grounded and you just get another JP. There's not a whole lot of ideas to work with that don't just get outlandish.

Because they're very expensive to make
There's a reason why a lot of shark movies have the most appaling effects

Just make a Cadillacs and Dinosaurs movie. Or a Dino-Riders movie. We want dinosaurs, not a gripping tale of human drama.

Dinosaurs peaked early with Willis O'Brien and Ray Harryhausen. Jurassic Park was the last one to make an impact.

They almost had stop-motion dinosaurs on this film. They hired Willis O'brien of King Kong and the silent Lost World. Jim Danforth almost worked on it. But because Irwin Allen was too cheap and impatient, he just used lizards with parts glued on instead.

I saw that in true Imax 3D. Dual 70mm projection. Story was a bit silly, but it is insane how much better the 3D was to anything you will see today. The dinosaurs came so far out of the screen and lingered in front of you within arms reach. The landscapes looked incredible.

But seeing the girl's face in closeup 3D on the massive Imax screen was like looking at a cratered lunar landscape. Not exactly flattering.

Right "IF". JP/W toys sell like crazy and is the franchise most associated with dinosaurs in the eyes of the public. Sure Mattel could risk it and try Dino Riders or they can stick with what's financially lucrative. I would love for toy companies to take more risks or develop new IPs or redevelop older ones but I also understand why that isnt a good business model.
