I think it's possible that might be what the guy did with the firemen. They said they just asked him to move his car and he flipped out. He was living in his car and kept a gun. That seems like such a weird and not great way to ambush them. Case in point one lived. And that's never how it's done. This is unfortunately a common thing. They always lay in wait and get em right where they want em. And then I can see how enticing that is with detectives that it's two birds with one stone and just case closed.
