Anon they're three novellas of an unfinished series and the first one barely has enough content to fill 2 hours, much less an entire season. Game of Thrones had far more content to pull from.

They're planning it to have 3 seasons, each with like 7 episodes each at least probably. I have no clue how the fuck they're going to stretch 3 novellas into that, and even then it's not like the novellas have a satisfying ending they're just as unfinished as the mainline books albeit they're a bit more self-contained so it's not like they're this epic saga that's leading somewhere. Still, the story Dunk and Egg are clearly not finished.

Don't worry, in season one there'll be a black trader from Songhai who is critical to the story. He will be based on historic travels by a man who never stepped foot in Europe and his other travels have only one historic source not even written when he was alive.
