his character was unrealistically whiny to really make you feel bad about walter's actions throughout the movie, to send home the message that gentile men standing up for themselves is evil.
its actually really contradictory and badly written the way jesse stands up to walter more early on in the show, but progressively just cries and cries over and over again, as if a druggie kid like him would do that in the first place, let alone after more exposure to violence and danger.
