The Ray Stevenson movie was the best Punisher thing so far. But this show is pretty cool. They don't tone down the violence any, but he doesn't kill everyone either. He's too nice sometimes.

I think I figured it out: since everyone only wants to produce capeshit now people are working within that system to tell their stories and make their action movies and shows.

People will say they do things they wouldn't do in the comics but that's the limitations. The reason I'm watching the show is that it doesn't have fantastical flying shit in it. But it's too bad people have to sell out and tweak their ideas to get something made. At least they figured out how to keep working. Just find some comic hero to tailor your script to and you can get a meeting.

thats what i originally thought when season 1 came out and everyone was going on about how good it was. then i finally watched it and realized it's surprisingly kino. and the punisher stuff in season 2 is top tier.

He was good in We Own This City on HBO. That's the only other thing I've seen him in. I've never seen anyone in this show in anything else. The woman from The Abyss popped up in one episode, and a couple character actors I've seen, but I've never seen the leads in anything else. I'm getting old and I don't keep up on shit anymore. I come on here and see all these 20 year old starlets and I don't know or care what tv or movies they're in. I don't care about new things anymore. This is the newest show I've seen besides Penguin. The last new show I watched and cared about was Better Call Saul.
