>>212302350 (OP) pic rel on the stovetop I still like microwave popcorn but I donโt buy/make it that often because my microwave sucks ass at making it
I get those bags of loose kernals from the store because they're cheap as fuck and you can recycle the unpopped kernels. Usually, I just put a handful into a lidded bowl with some olive oil and cook it for 4 minutes, then sprinkle on some seasoning from the spice rack.
>>212302350 (OP) im not really a big popcorn fan unless its cheese flavored or white cheddar. and even then i dont really like eating popcorn during a movie. it eat it too fast
>>212302350 (OP) I use a variety of methods. Lately I've been using brown paper bags in the microwave and I spray it with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and use Morton's Lite Salt. It's pretty good.
>>212302903 What kind of microwave popcorn are you using? Or are you just using kernels and a brown paper bag? I feel that the regular microwave popcorn is salty enough and doesnโt need flavocol.
>>212302887 Yes. You take one of these fuckers, you put a layer of kernels one-kernel-high at the bottom, fold the top shut, lay it on its side and microwave for 2 minutes
>>212303064 I tried stove cooking my kernels and the popcorn felt all chewy compared to when I microwave. It was a bit like overcooked meat. Too tough, no crispiness.
>>212303139 If I read the thread you have to use the right butter and not too much Also I have induction, not an actual stove. I don't know if that will make a difference
>>212303099 Itโs okay. Itโs the same way as with Chicago mix popcorn where I can enjoy a small amount but I canโt crush a big bowl of it like I can with good ole salty buttery popcorn

>>212303139 >>212303176 Also could be keeping it covered on the stove for too long. The steam will make it chewy too.
>>212303332 Yea it could help >>212303363 The popcorn has a bit of moisture inside that gets released when it pops. I use >>212302520 It has some holes at the top that let some of the steam escape and you constantly spin the handle so you can get them popped all around the same time, then dump it out as soon as it finishes.
>>212303568 I use gas and the thin aluminum one, but looking it up it seems there is a thicker stainless steel version that works better with induction tops.
