was he right from the very beginning?
To get Sam's show canceled? Based on Sam's crying, yes.
In terms of comedy talent, Sam's not even in his league. Tim's probably the funniest guy in his generation. He has generic Hollywood normie political beliefs, but of course he does, he's a Hollywood normie.
on cinema literally just had its best oscar special and theyre on 12. genuinely impressive
Heidecker's extremely funny. Awesome Show isnt as funny as it once was just because so many shows have copied it's sensibilities, but something like Bedtime Stories is still pretty amazing. Beyond the bright colors and silly faces, the real thing that T&E excel at is very specific portraits of weird guys. Failing actors and entertainers, various suburban dads, bad standups, hapless educators and in general people that feel left behind by culture, this is why a lot of people who try to emulate T&E can't quite get it. Connor O'Malley does a pretty good job of building on it while making it all more manic, bitter, and angry (he's like if Sam Hyde knew how to actually tell a joke instead of just improvising for 20 minutes and winking to the camera like Jim on the Office)
