I can't explain it but she's just not "hot". As i said Scarlet Johansson is an example of an actress everyone knows is hot, or at least she was back then. And even then in the Prestige he makes no attempt to convey any eroticism when she is on screen. He is just not interested at all in sex, which is fine, his movies don't need it.
