Standard finding where you belong, oh shit it was where you started kind of crap. Its like they mashed the plot of Mars Needs Moms together with Flight of the Navigator and a bunch of other 80s movies. Now they revealed he was supposed to be gay as well but they cut that out because test audiences gave them death stares. Same old crap and they tried to repackage it

Everyone is reporting on it. The failure of the film has everyone leaking everything. What you should be asking is how many more of these bombs do they already have in the pipeline. Societal shifts in production don't happen over night. They probably have teams of people trying to "de-gay" all the crap they have in production they thought would be a hit. Everyone remembers the story from years ago about the Disney executive saying she wanted something like half of Disney characters to be gay from now on like her own "trans" children

Yeah exactly.
>The film was conceived by Molina as a "personal coming-of-age story about youthful alienation."[11] Molina was inspired by his childhood growing up at a military base and eventual enrollment at the California Institute of the Arts when developing the film's story. Director Madeline Sharafian described his feelings on the private art school by saying "he felt like he'd found his people there, he'd found his world".

Aaide from it being a tool of communist subversion of beauty and body positivity, lots of economic reasons.
Because it's easy and art schools get federal funding in proportion to the number of students they take on, regardless of how talentless they are.
Then they can saturate the market with talentless hacks trained in this shitty style who will work for beans.
Then everyone else thinks this style is prevalent so it must be popular, and they imitate it because they are also talentless hacks looking for a bandwagon.
This is why I don't feel the least bit bad

I mean, of course, you can only write with the concepts you have about reality that are directly linked to your life experience, but there's ways to do it subtle and interesting.

These frauds just go for straight analogies, "I felt alienated in my childhood so I'm going to make a story about how I'm more comfortable with aliens!"

True.
They don't understand that their personal experiences, which they hold so dear, aren't necessarily interesting to the general public.
Every creator must learn the term โ€˜mass appeal,โ€™ unless their father is a Saudi oil prince and they have no need to make money or recoup the cost.

I fucking hate modern Pixar style so much.
Incredibles is still their best looking 3D animated movie to this date because they actually made it unique.
It's a shame the sequel was bad in both writing and visuals, almost all of the new characters and background characters became generic Pixar retards that do nothing but smile and grin and stare at the main character that's talking in every single shot they're in and it clashes horribly with the main cast from the first movie.
Fuck Disney. They killed Pixar.

It's a shame because all of Pixar's classic films were products of extreme risk-taking and desire to innovate. Now they're just told by Disney to milk their classics and play it as safe as possible.

Recent Pixar films have the same flaw: they are primarily written as a therapy exercise for the director and/or writers, rather than as entertainment. The protagonists are self-inserts whose central challenge is just the director's childhood sexual insecurity and awkward puberty, probably awakened in some overpaid psychologist's office in coastal California, cast onscreen. Consider Turning Red and its focus on Asian parenting as the villain, Luca and its very obvious faggoty metaphor, Elio and being a misunderstood gay military brat/Glordon being forced to 'fit in' his father's suit. You can contrast these more recent failures with earlier Pixar hits, which were well-written high-concept comedies about non-human characters with human characteristics and charm that could appeal to younger and older audiences. One did not need to be a toy to appreciate Toy Story, a robot to appreciate WALL-E or a cyclops to enjoy Monsters Inc.

I'm glad we didn't accelerate too quickly past this phase.
We might be at the stage where audiences are sick of this shit being forced on them, but we're still at the point where writers are indignant enough at being rejected to air out the shit they really ought to be keeping quiet.
There's no way to dismiss these grooming fucks as just a conspiracy now.

I still think it's crazy how the west perfected the mix of 2D animation and 3D back in Titan A.E and Treasure Planet (over 20 years ago btw) then gave up on it overnight to pursue 3D animation only. Not even Japan still can replicate the mastery achieved in those flicks yet, and their entire shtick is animation.

Yeah essentially the West had master animators teaching the next generation of master animators for an unbroken chain of decades. Then, early 00s comes along and they decide to forsake all that knowledge because 3D finally got cheap. It's a fucking tragedy.

A lot of the time, yeah but often not all that thoroughly
Sometimes directors give entire talks on certain scenes for conferences, but a lot of the time it's just a small extra that comes with the physical movie
Treasure planet has this for example

It's stands right on the same level as some of the other true great animated films like Spirited Away and such, ever since I got older and found out it flopped so badly I completely lost faith in the industry. Titan A.E. was supposed to be a live action flick called "Planet Ice," but they reworked it into a cartoon for no reason (i.e. an excuse to kill off Fox Animation). Bluth was only brought on as a last minute hail mary, but the studio knew it would still fail. It ended up flopping so hard, the vidya adaptation was cancelled.

Let's see a gay, brown director makes a movie about how its boring growing up among straight people and how thankful he was that that adult gays ('aliens') abducted him from his lame straight family. NOTE: This movie was made, only the (aliens part is allegorical, the child character was outright gay and shown ogling a black teenager boy) and shown to some Pixar head who said 'Fuck Is This?' and fired that guy and gave the movie to two women to try to hide some of the faggotry.
They took it out of the story, but didn't change the design of the character e.g.

Yeah I normally don't like the blended 3D/2D look but bringing it out for just that one scene where it's supposed to look overly extravagant was great. I never saw Treasure Planet but other places where Disney tried it like the tree in Pocahontas and the spaceships in Lilo & Stitch felt odd. I think you can only mix mediums if you fully commit to it in those scenes. I think The Lion King only used it for minor background stuff which can work but it's been too long since I've seen it to really judge.
