I've noticed that my tastes in movies seem to be quite superior most of the time, when compared to normalfags like my parents. When watching a movie, I will usually start criticizing many things like the storytelling, character construction, CGI, and so forth, while my parents merely rate movies based on whether "they liked it or not". I tried to explain to them why it's important to criticize and analyze movies due to media consumption, and my father could only tell me that "you don't seem to enjoy movies". When I called him ridiculous, he called me Comic Book Guy.

Why can't boomers into film criticism? They seem to openly despise any type of media criticism.

superior would mean you got more enjoyment since that's the goal. your condition is inferior

You should already know if you're going to enjoy a movie before you see it. If you know how to curate your picks and trust your tastes, you wont have to waste time not enjoying movies.

explain how CBG isn't right about everything.

Boomers literally just thought depicting intelligent discerning people as fat and quasi-autistic was some kind of nuclear own.
>dude, he likes comics!
He's living his best life. Shut the fuck up.

I agree, media literacy is incredibly important especially in these dangerous, unprecedented times.
By the way, I voted for Kamala.

Hey faggot you can enjoy kino without being annoying to your family. You sound so autistic itโ€™s giving me secondhand embarrassment. I watch movies with my folks semi regularly and we wait to discuss it afterward like a well adjusted person.

this. the real mark of taste is knowing whether you'll like a movie before you even watch it.
that's why people who brag about perfect curves on their imbd reviews or whatever are stupid. like congrats, you wasted a bunch of time watching shitty movies. why? 9 times out of 10, I can tell if a movie is gonna be worth my time or not.
