when do you think Hollywood will start milking late 2000s nostalgia? it’s been nearly 20 years

Never because it will remind people of what we had and they don't want to risk that.

The 2000s were just a slightly worse version of the 90s and zoomies / Gen-A cunts aren't sentimental at all to begin with so why bother?

This. Can't have people comparing Hollywood's portrayal of their youth to their actual memories of the 2000s.

Its all stagnation and capitalism that’s caused the universe aura to become very depressed and unstable, they’re trying to push Ai so hard and this will be the culmination of it all if we succeed in overcoming them then we are not doomed it’s the part of the battle being fought behind our eyes, the energy officially gave out in 2012 was the last breathe as it was put into a sort of coma and this is known to they very wrong minds the ultimate truth is coming down to literally you the individual as it’s all part of our specific view when each one is done we’ll finally find out what happens, it’s being watched on a type of meter by the one that isn’t actually any one and even they do not know that they’re doing that probably just living life for the time being, and then comes the resurrection ritual of the universe by the new shaman collective of us all

the nostalgia cycle ended when the internet started going mainstream in the 00s. there is no youth demographic to market a cleaned up version of the 00s to people who weren't alive at the time, as they're all on social media.

Only when boomers have died out/lost control.
Emo was never adapted at the time for a reason. And millennials aren't given the reigns to tell these stories for a reason. Boomers absolutely despise emo and millennials in general.
It won't happen under their watch. They'll skip to adapting mid 10s edm shit instead.

Nta but as a late 90s zoomer I remember playing outside but also having access to youtube and runescape on my familys computer that was in the hallway of our house. I remember getting my first flip phone when I was 10 and life was good. There weren’t any immigrants anywhere other than the capital of my country which has always been a shithole.
Me and my friends would ride our bikes around the village and play in the fields, play football (euro) all day and then go play xbox at a friends house until midnight during the summer.

Now everything is online and gay. Everything sucks now.

The early 00s were peak. You had access to cheap-ish but good technology while the internet was a separate thing that you needed a computer to access.
Things were more real back then, now nothing really matters anymore because everyone is just in their own little bubble which is based on what content they consume or what apps they use.

People don’t feel real anymore. Nobody is real.

They will, but they don’t have to. Superbad and Jennifer’s Body are the greatest late 2000’s movies that embody the spirit of the time.

Zoomers will never understand the joys of being a teenager and buying ket off a guy called Skittles (because he tried to convince a girl that his genital warts were just skittles that had fallen on his crotch) in a bush behind the local music venue that was famous for the highest number of stabbings per year and smelled of piss, before bumping into a random emo girl who you'd never met and making out with her for 20 seconds before she went off to meet up with her 25 yo boyfriend (she was 16)

ok maybe I need to spell this out but you can't just list a few shitty video games as your cultural touchstone for a decade. how do you want to have movie nostalgia for that? a movie about people playing shitty video games?
